I had the following message after installing the current version of JComments for Joomla 1.0.  The error was at the top of my webpage www.GreenTechnologyAudit.org and distorted the page layout.

File "english.ini" not found in "\\nawinfs02\home\users\web\b516\rh.everadmin61\components\com_jcomments\languages"

Your help for a solution would be appreciated.

Cheers,

David..

At first I can suggest you upgrade Joomla to 1.5 version because 1.0 is very old and doesn't supported by Joomla's developers about six months. Also you could try to reinstall component... If this doesn't help, you can manually rename file /components/com_jcomments/languages/en-GB.com_jcomments.ini to /components/com_jcomments/languages/english.ini

Note, that now JComments supports Joomla 1.0 only in compatibility reasons. In future version this support will be removed...

Thanks so much.

I will reinstall and rename the file if necessary.  It seems that everything is now geared towards J1.5.  I will move to that platform in the future.. too much work involved in converting at this point. The developer I hired to  get me started put me on the J1.0.x, when I did not know anything, even though I told him to make sure I had the latest version of the software.  Now I know better, and figured out how to do everything myself.

Much appreciated.

Cheers,

David..
