I have a site which was running Joomla 1.7 and successfully running JComments 2.3

When I upgraded my site manually to Joomla 2.5, the existing comments remained OK.  But I can no longer add new comments Sad When I try to add a new comment, either as a registered or unregistered user, I can enter the details but when I click the "send" button, I am redirected to the pageurl# (the page url with "#" added at the end) and the message fails to send.

When I click to reply to a comment, I also get redirected to the page url with "#" added at the end - without being able to add a reply.

I have searched the forum for posts on problems relating to upgrading Joomla from 1.7 to 2.5, but they all seem to be in regard to upgrading from JComments 2.2 at the same time, or they are unrelated.

I have not changed permissions or settings in JComments, and have rechecked that they all look OK.   I have "fixed" my file and directory permissions using Akeeba Admin Tools.

I am running PHP 5.3.13 and Joomla 2.5.5 and have a Joomlart template installed (Community-Plus).

I tried reinstalling JComments version 2.3, and clearing my cache in the joomla backend and in my browser, but I still cannot add comments from the frontend!  Huh

@MissyW: it looks like you have same issue as described here: Send button doesn't work. As we can see we have missed 'joomlat' in link to JComments' ajax library: http://www.site.org/components/com_jcomments/libraries/une/ajax.js?v=4

it should be http://www.site.org/components/com_jcomments/libraries/joomlatune/ajax.js?v=4

If you use JComments, please post a rating and a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory

ABTOP and smart,

BRILLIANT!!!  Thanks a million!  I would never have found it.  I was barking up the wrong tree - it wasn't a Joomla 2.5 upgrade problem, it was that setting in Akeeba Admin Tools.  (I have just suggested to the good Akeeba people that they may want to add a warning in their documentation about this.  Better than this, they have replied that they are going to remove the option.  So users in future won't fall into this trap Smiley )

I am SO grateful for your speedy assistance Kiss
