Import Old JComments into new JComments

Hey Everyone,

I was just trying to figure out how I can import my old comments from JComments (2.2) into a new installation of JComments (2.3). I have looked and it appears that they support importing of other comment component (JAComments for example) comments but not their own?

Also when I go into the backend of my Joomla site and into the JComments component and click on the import it says, "There are no compatible extensions for import process." Does JComments not come with a default importer for their own comments?

Any help on what I have/need to do to import old JComments into new JComments would be appreciated.

I just read some other similar questions and they all talk about just needing to copy the database tables and move them over to the new install db. Is this correct? If so what does it do about the users? Should I migrate all my users to the new joomla install before importing the comments?

I am having the same problem. Have you figured out a fix for upgrading JComments and moving existing comments with it?

Old JComments are imported automatically, without any interaction,
Importing is only for other commenting extensions.
