Yes, at this moment I'm testing new version of JComments Avatar for Joomla 2.5. I have totally reworked code, removed all extensions which aren't supported on Joomla 2.5 and added some new. Here list of components which will be supported in upcoming version:
AlphaUserPoints CommunityBuilder Contacts Discussions EasyBlog EasyDiscuss JomSocial JooBB K2 Kunena PhocaGallery
I'm going to release new version of JComments Avatar this week. Stay tuned!

I have read about this but I have never tested. Are you using this integration with Joomla 2.5?

Dear Smart, thanks for the note... I checked the downloads section and I believe there to be still the old version. Has the Avatar update been released already? Thank you for the great (free) work for the community, Matt http://herzenssache.org

I'm counting down the days until the Avatars work with Joomla 2.5
I may finally have my site the way I want it after a few YEARS of trying different components and stuff.

I really am not meaning to be pushy, I am just wondering if this is still on the table. I don't mind waiting, but if this has been abandoned then I need to start looking for something else.
The last I heard the avatar plugin was gonna be released within a week. That was June 25th.
Again, I am not upset or being pushy. I am just wondering if it is indeed still being worked on?

Smart is a busy guy. Sometimes his projects take a while, but when they come out, they are quite good. If I were to guess I would guess it might come out around August 4th. (using rigged estimates based on an assumption) So personally I recommend waiting considering that there is hardly any comment systems out there for J 2.5 that support CB. Compojoom comments is the only one that I know of (for avatars) which is quite good but is a commercial extension.

Cool, sounds good. I will wait. Please don't misunderstand me asking if it is still being worked on as a complaint or any lack of appreciation. So far what I have seen the jcomments system is amazing and I am very thankful it exists. I appreciate the hard work put into this extension and will keep checking back.

I have read about this but I have never tested. Are you using this integration with Joomla 2.5? Sorry for late answer. Yes, i tested it on localhost. And it seems synchronization Joomla 2.5 and JFusion 1.7 works fine. So, i hope there is sense in phpBB plugin for JComments.

I'm wondering myself. This is perhaps the most important addition jcomments needs right now.
