jcomments need text if no comments

When there is no comments I want a link to say "add a comment"
at the moment its just a blank box 10 pixels high...---... Huh

Blank box can be displayed if no comments and current user has no rights to add comment. In any other cases comments form will be displayed. Please, check user rights on permissions tab.

thanks for that
however i would like users to register before commenting
and the settings are registered can post and reply
I wondered if i could code in that box to say "please register to comment"

If user has no rights to add comments - where is no links to this. But on article page you can display some message with any text about this. You can setup this message in JComments settings on 'Messages' tab.
