Hi there,

A few months ago I thought I saw a plugin somewhere that would create a post in kunena forum whenever a person left a comment.

Does any one know where I can find that?

Maybe you mean the Kunena Discuss plugin which creates a new forum post for every new Joomla! article.

Yes same function basically but I thought I saw a plugin for jcoments that would do the same thing?

No, JComments could not create posts in Kunena and I'm not going to add such feature. You have to use some discuss plugin for this.
