It sounds strange. Like AJAX feature doesn't work.

Check if files on you site are same size as in original Joomla distributive:

/administrator/index2.php
/administrator/index3.php

If no - just copy from Joomla's distributive to your site with overwrite existing files.

Hi,

the sizes are correct. Use more than 10 components that work correctly. Just with this I have this trouble.
I just got by installation message that all was correct, just plugins the instalator could't unpack, so in the folder

/components/com_jcomments/plugins

I have

index.html
plugins.zip

- but the submit button for smiles, works in admin MENU.

Is there anything else I should check ?

Thanks

Could you give me access to site's backend? If you could - create backend user and send me site url, login/password via PM. I'll try to help you with this issue.

Yes, seems I found problem's key.

1. Unpack archive /components/com_jcomments/plugins/plugins.zip
2. Unpack archive /components/com_jcomments/libraries/convert/convert.zip

These files must be unpacked during installation but with some reason stay archived. After this all must work. If no - I'll check again...

Works, I could save settings and on my blog I saw "Write comment", great.

Thanks you very much.

BTW, what reason to use oudated Joomla version? The Joomla 1.0 is not supported by developers for about 1 year. You've too much 3rd party extensions and it is too difficult to upgrade?
