[Solved] Settings are not getting saved

Hi everyone,

i have Joomla 1.5.18 and installed the lates jComments (2.2 I think). I could install this component successfully but if I mark the category where jComments should be displayed, click on save button, go to something else and then back, then my previously highlighted Category is not highlighted. Everytime when I click on save button nothing happens. This was with Opera,

In IE8 I see an HTML Error displayed in the status line with these errors:

Hm... How I could to see this problem? This is local site or I can see it online? I've tested JComments 2.2 with Joomla 1.5.18 and all works fine for me.

It looks like some problems with server's configuration because it denies access to JavaScripts:

http://www.domain.com/administrator/components/com_jcomments/assets/jcomments-backend-v2.1.js:

You don't have permission to access /administrator/components/com_jcomments/assets/jcomments-backend-v2.1.js on this server.

I don't know why your server returns 403 error for these files. Check if they are exist and check file permissions. May be you'll need to consult with your server's administrator.

In my case, my Provider has configured all files to be read only by the user who creates them. After changing the permission on the administrator\com_jcomments and the com_jcomments for the frontend that all users can read and execute, everything is working find now
