Hmm could be difficult as the site gets allot of traffic so I would be unable to enable the plugin without knowing a specific time which would be difficult on your end.

Let me see if I can explain it better. I have also included a screen capture

Here is the site address Footprints

It is a rocket theme using Gantry
Joomla 1.5.18
K2 2.3
I am using template over rides for K2

Soon as I enable the plug-in a page that has comments on it, the entire sites CSS is striped out leaving nothing but the article image and text everything else has gone so it is just a plain white page with the article image and text (see screen shot)

Any page that does not have comments on it the site loads as normal.

Thanks for your time and help on this

Ok, seems I know what problem is it. Open plugin file  (/plugins/k2/jcomments.php) and replace:

Code: (php)
if ($item->params->get('itemComments')) {
with
Code: (php)
if ($params->get('itemComments')) {

Hope it will fix this problem...

I've just checked with JComments 2.2, K2 JComments 1.0, K2 2.3 Stable and Joomla 1.5.18 and all works fine for me.

But as you describing it sounds like some error occured during plugin load. Could you check Apache's error log for more detailed information? May be some warning or error message appears?

It looks like some error breaks script execution - this is because you page hasn't styles and has broken layout. We need to found this problem's key. It might be some error in plugin or K2.

Today one of JComments user reports me that JComments K2 plugin produces an error with K2 2.3 stable but it woks fine with 2.3 beta. We make some tests and I suggest fix (I've published it below). And this fix helped this user to solve problem. This is because I suggest you to test it also. BTW, may be you need to clean Joomla's cache?

Hi again, I will try the updates plugin see if that helps. no I have cleaned the cache.

Checked out the logs, only errors are from a depreciated call in xmap

Sorry what fix was it? The one you published earlier?

I am really not sure, it is a difficult one, it could be an anomaly with K2 2.3 or it could be a conflict with another plugin.

The site runs
Jreviews
Jomsocial
List bingo
K2
Eventlist
Breezing forms
Mosets Tree
Hotspots

- So there is allot of room there for conflicting issues.

Unless you come across an answer, I might have to wait until we can first disable all plugins and see if there are any conflicts, just a difficult task when traffic is streaming in 24/7

Cheers
