UPDATE:

The module is showing up on the page now.

I changed the code back to the original, so it might just be a cache issue.

Bonjour,

I am in the same boat ... will not display at all, regardless of the parameter settings.

This is the really strange part though: I am only encountering this issue on a brand new install that I am now working on. Latest Joomla! (1.5.15) and it matters not which template I try. I put up another site a few days ago on the same hosting account, same build of Joomla! and the module works like a charm! Right out of the box Smiley ALL settings are the same. I am a very experienced Joomla "builder" and I have spent the whole day on this; it's a "must have" for this client. Tried the code change too ... no-go Sad Also tried re-installing the module and even the component ... nope. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated Smiley

Cheers!

Hi,

Just my two cents.

Running Joomla! 1.5.15 on PHP 5.2.x and JComments 2.1.0.0 with awesome results until recently when I was doing some tests with other extensions I found out that it was gone.

I'm currently also using the default Joomla! template for test purposes.

I saw through the forum and it striked me that I had deleted the one test post that I've created (before backing up the site) and I reposted a new comment on an article and voila it was back on the right side of the menu (above the Polls) Cheesy

So my guess is that nothing will show up until someone makes a post, and that maks sense to me.

Hope this helps.

I've been working on the module, and since my site is running with FlexiContent I realized some of the issues are related to that.  Even changing the object_group param doesn't work, because its not properly carried through the code.

I will try to release a full version of the module when its ready.

could you explain me more detail what issues do you mean?

I mean that if using flexicontent, which is not too different from com_content but has its own router for example, and the current code only looks for the com_content not com_flexicontent helper files.  So setting the the object_group doesn't change all of the paths that are needed to pull in the flexicontent files instead of the com_content files.

I'm working on a version that will support flexicontent, which appears was my biggest issue - and some of the queries didn't seem to return anything leaving the module blank.

Moxmovies template from Gavick, K2 is installed but I just want to show the stuff from com_content - it's not showing anything at all - the module doesn't appear in any way.

I've installed it, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, tried every conceivable way to configure it, dumped the cache over and over - can't get it to show up.
