I do not know if this is the right place, but I will publish here in the files with the translation into Portuguese of Brazil, translated by Adailton Rodrigues de Souza - Website http://www.adassoft.com. This worked in version 2.1.0.0 of JComments Não sei se esse é o local correto, mas vou publicar aqui mesmo os arquivos com a tradução para o Português do Brasil, traduzidos por Adailton Rodrigues de Souza - Website http://www.adassoft.com. Está funcionado na versão 2.1.0.0 do JComments

Hi! We already have got Portuguese Brazil translation from Daniel Gomes with new strings for upcoming JComments version. See in attach. You can compare it with yours... May be you need contact with him and merge these translations (select more correct constant translations from both files)?

I dont found the pt-BR translation in the download (JComments 2.1.0.0) so I decided to share my translation with new strings (in upcoming JComments 2.1) already included.
Please let me know if you find better words in specific places, so I can update the translation and re-share.

Hi Adalberto! I retranslated the pt-BR version of the com_jcomments_v2.1.0.0. The pt-BR.com_jcomments.ini version 0.2 (2010-01-18) follows attached, and if you can re-share it in the appropriate place, please, do it for the community! See you!

Hi all! First of all, I need to excuse me 'cus I didn't look this forum before starting the translation process. I guess I'll have to live with it. Anyway... I just finished translating JComments. Well, just the en-GB.com_jcomments.ini file. I don't know if there's another file to translate. I want to make notice of what I've taken care of. As beign a brazilian and having English as my second language (lived in Canada for a year) I could translate words and phrases having in mind the brazilian context and how we use the language. I've put my best to make it fit without getting too far from the original (which I guess is the English version). So, I want to share my work. I'm sorry if this feels just like a re-work, but I wanted to make sure all translated text were right or as closest as possible from beign right. BTW... I'm using JComments v2.1.0.0

Hi there again,
I have pretty good news for the JComments brazilian community!
I just finished my revision of the file pt-BR.com_jcomments.ini which I have translated and attached it on my post above, but this time I've included the remaining files (I revised them too!).
One thing I've noticed from other translations I found for pt-BR is that besides they were correctly saved in UTF-8 NO BOM, the special characters like letters with accent WERE NOT correctly HTML encoded (i.e. ã as ã) so I've encoded them ONE BY ONE (ok... with a little help from Notepadd++ and a plugin called HTML Tag).
So, again I wanna share this translation with the community.

Ok, thanks. If you are sure that this translation is more correct than programad's one - I can include your's to upcoming JComments version. I'll download and check if all constants are present and translated. If I found some strings not translated or missing I'll post here information about this and will ask you translate them. Thanks alot for your work and sharing your translation with JComments community.

Thx Smart! Since I wasn't sure which post the staff (like you) was goint to look at, I've posted on the three main posts here on the Translation section. Please forgive me if I "over" posted about this subject (my translation). If this is the case, just let me know which post should I focus on and I'll leave the others untouched. I'll be more than happy if you just have a look at it as you said you're going to do. Cheers, Caio

Hm... Could you explain me why you've replace all accented characters to their HTML-entities equivalents? About two years we haven't any problems with UTF-8 encoding for these characters. I think this is not rights to replace...
I've downloaded pr-BR translation for Joomla 1.5.15 and check its files - all characters are in UTF-8 encoding. So I think we must revert this replacement...

My most sincere excuses Smart, I've just found the problem and fixed it. For some reason, some files I created got ANSI encoded not UTF-8. I thought it was weird too having to replace all accented characters to their HTML-entities equivalents when I was using UTF-8. Well... at that point I THOUGHT the files were in UTF-8, but now I checked them and some were in ANSI (don't know why). I'll revert the replacement and post the files again in a moment. THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK! Caio
