I am trying to make RokBox work inside the comments. I made a custom bbcode and, as far as I can tell, it is working correctly, that is the HTML substitution gives me valid RokBox tags. But it seems like Rokbox is not getting the clue that it is supposed to convert its tags if they are outside of an article.

So I get something like this in my comments:
Code:
{rokbox size=|65% 80%| title=|Гугля|}http://www.google.com{/rokbox}
but if I put this line inside an article, everything is fine.

Question: Is the anything you gentlemen can do to make RokBox work with comments? It would be great for oversized external images and links.  I understand that this is not your product, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Thank you.

yes, because in article they are processed by some content plugin.

In our case - we couldn't call content plugins because they are written for com_content, not for com_jcomments and I think this isn't good idea use plugins for other component (with compatibility reasons). I mean support it in JComments core. But I think that we can make some external plugin for JComments to support this feature.

p.s. I notice that you site is called newrussianamerica - do you know russian?

Yeah, I suspected something like that. Bummer!

That would be really cool. Apart from being able to handle quite a list of media files, RokBox can generate thumbnails with preset dimensions from external images. Comments typically don't have much room and any image is likely to either mess up the page or be cropped which is a problem.

Yes, I do. I am Russian. Born and bread.
