Hello,

I`m  using  JComments for my website and I must say its wonderfull component. I removed the login / registration module in my website but few days ago I decide to enable it. I made an username for testing purpose, log in , check it and everything was fine. It was with Firefox. I test it with Internet Explorer, log in and the fron page was working fine. Then I decided to open an article and ... “Internet Explorer Cannot Open the Internet Site Operation Aborted” !!!

Then I start to search for the problem. I remove each component that I have in the website, then tested and tested and tested... and suddenly I found that if I disable the Jcomments component from the website everything works fine. So I guess the problem is between Internet Explorer and Jcomments .

I really like this component and I dont want to remove it from my site.  Angry But I need users to register and I dont want to lost half of my visitros (Internet explorer visitors) coz of the problem with Jcomments.

So please can someone help me  Huh

I just test it with Ja Purity. Here are the results:

1. I made another category, put an article , add jcomments , assign JA Purity only to that category
2. Log in, open it with firefox - everything was fine
3. Log in, open it with Internet explorer - “Internet Explorer Cannot Open the Internet Site Operation Aborted”

BTW when I test it on the localhost everything was just fine, even with Internet explorer
Another BTW Smiley It happens ONLY when I`m log in. If i`m not there is no problem

I just open the http://demo.joomlatune.com. Its fine with IE.  But as I said before there is no problem if i`m not log in

Well...I remove   JComments from my website. I hope you can find a solution to this IE problem. I replace it with another component and now I have absolutely no problem. One more thing - can you add an IP ban option and gravatar support for the next version? I think it will be really useful  Smiley

I install JA Teline II and can't reproduce described bug... so I don't know how to fix it...

gravatars are supported since version 2.1 (and not only gravatars - there is JComments Avatar plugin from many external sources - Agora Forum, CommunityBuilder, Contacts, FireBoard Forum,
JomSocial, JooBB Forum, JoomSuite User, K2, Kunena Forum, iJoomla Magazine, phpBB3.

And IP Ban function is already in work...

Hello, I've the same problem. I can't open any article with JComments with IE.

IE shows this message "Internet Explorer Cannot Open the Internet Site Operation Aborted”.
Then, if I use the "go back" button, the page loads well, but reloading the error occurs always.
Sorry for my english. I hope you can help us.

Same here...using JA OPAL. Once disabling jcomments everything works fine.

Please update on this as we would like to use jcomments on our page.

Thanks,
