Hi,
When i enable the feeds and then click on the feed link under the comments i get this error Error creating feed file, please check write permissions. What should the permissions be and on what file/folder ?

I think that you need check permissions on /cache/ folder... or you have installed JComments on J1.5 - in current JComments version there are present bug with RSS on J1.5
