how to switch off check-out function?

Hi everybody,
We like your component, it´s great!
But there´s one problem: We want editors to be able to change anyone´s comment repeatedly, not only once.
When a user posts a comment and an editor changes it, the comment is then "locked" (checked-out) even in backend (with lock symbol) and even super-administrator cannot change this status. How to make comments editable without limitations? And how to unblock locked comments?
We are using Joomla 1.5.9, Jcomments 2.0.0.17.

JComments use same lock mechanism as articles. This will prevent someone else from accidentally making changes to comment before you are finished with it. The comment locks then editor press Edit button and unlocks then editor press Save or Cancel. If editor forget press Save or Cancel and close browser window the comment stay locked.

To unlock the comment, go to System > Global Checkin (this function available for Super Administrators).
