Custom no avatar image not showing

I have installed and activated the JComments Avatar plug in, followed all the instructions in the help files (I think), set the plug in to gravatar, set it to show custom image if there is no gravatar and put a custom image URL in the 'Custom NoAvatar image' box. Bit it's still showing the default. Here is the link to my custom image, copied below.

Could it be a size issue?  The image is 75x75.

Hi,

I am still having no luck with this.  I have set the JComment Avatar plug in to show custom image when there is no Gravatar and I have reduced the size of the custom picture to the same as the default image



but it still shows up with the default image in the latest comments module.

There must be something simple I am doing wrong.  Any ideas welcome.

I have come up with a temporary fix for this. To recap, the problem was that even though I set it to show a custom avatar and added a link, it still showed the greyed out default.

To fix this I ftpd in to jcomment and images and found the no_avatar.PNG, which I then replaced with one with the image I wanted.

So now it is showing the hands at the keyboard as above rather than the greyed out default image.

However the problem still remains that when you select custom image and upload one, it doesn't display.

Could it be that it requires a PNG image?  I was using a jpg before coming up with this workaround.
