I am new to JComments, and I'm using Joomla 1.5.23.  I can't seem to respond to any comments from guests, because when I try to "login" as the administrator from the frontend using my username and e-mail, it states the name is already in use!

I tried to reply to the comments from the backend, but there is no 'reply" function, only publish or delete, etc...

How to I login as an administrator so that I can reply from the front-end ?

Thanks

You have to be authorized on site to post comments as administrator. If you got message that name is already used this means that you did not authorized and tried to post comment as guest and enter name and email of administrator.

Hi, thanks for the answer.  I AM logged in as administrator into the backend of Joomla.  However, even though I am logged in, when I visit my page from the front end, there is no indication that I am the administrator, and it requires me to input a name and e-mail to add a comment.

It seems Jcomments is not recognizing that I am logged in as administrator..

As you want to post comment from frontend (as administrator) you have to be logged as administrator on frontend. Joomla does not share backend and frontend authorization so if want to be an administrator on frontend you have to log in as administrator on frontend.
