Hello I just wanted to say i was a long time user and loved the component. I have a project now that i am working on that my client currently uses jacomments and he has over 50k entries in the table. When i try to import on the test server i end up getting multiple copies of the same table entries. so basically i go from 50K entries to around 120K to 150K entries.

I read through the forums and did change some the time settings for executions but that did not resolve the issue.

I also read that you had a newer version than 2.2.02 that used ajax as a import. I have several questions.

1. is the new version available?

2. If it is how can i get a copy?

3. If i can get a copy, can i upgrade from 2.2.02 or do i have to do a clean install?

4. If it is not available, is there a conversion utility available to convert my jacomment table to jcomments so that i can process the data in the testing environment and then just import the results to my live server after install.

the other issue is the site is live and the jacomments table is constantly receiving entries. So i need to reduce the downtime. I was going to export the table and move the data by hand but i am having trouble being sure what the equivalent values are.

Using jcomments 2.2.02
joomla 1.5.23
jacomment 1.1.1

Please help
Rich

New version is not available yet, but I can help you with comments import. Contact me via PM and send me SQL-dump of our jacomment table. I will do import and send you back jos_jcomments table.
