Hello, I've been using jcomments for almost a year now and it has been working pretty good for me. However, since yesterday all of the sudden after entering a comment I cannot submit it and my the visitors of my website have contacted me regarding the same issue today. What happens basically is that the comments form shows but nobody can leave a comment. Any ideas why this is happening. My websites url is: www.luisvillamarin.com

Seems you've installed jHackGuard plugin... If so, could you help me and make small test?

1. Open file /components/com_jcomments/tpl/default/tpl_form.php and replace string captcha-refid with captcha_refid 2. Open file /components/com_jcomments/jcomments.ajax.php and replace string captcha-refid with captcha_refid 3. Refresh page with comments form and try to post comment.

I tried the suggested changes to the the files but still I'm having the same problems, I cannot post comments. I have recorded a the following video using showmewhatwrong.com to show you what it is exactly happening. The video is only good for 7 days: http://showmewhatswrong.com/play/cX6YINhQWThanks again

Ok. Could you specify:
1. Joomla version 2. JComments version 3. jHackGuard version? 4. Make screenshot of jHackGuard's plugin parameters

I have the same problem You've another problem - you're using outdated Joomla version (Joomla 1.5.7 or below). Because during comment's post JComments gots an error: <b>Fatal error</b>: Call to undefined method JFactory::getdate() in <b>/www/virtual/forprin/pollyvote/components/com_jcomments/jcomments.class.php</b> on line <b>1229</b><br /> I recommend you to update Joomla to Joomla 1.5.24...

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I use Joomla 1.5.0
Although it is off-topic, is it critical to update to the latest version? Is there a risk of losing current content?
