Well this sounds like exeptional news  Over my 25 years in the Internet, I have beta tested more products than most could even imagine - including the first betas of the very first web server, web browser, and countless other products and systems. I am beta testing other Joomla 2,5 Extensions even now. I have my own Internet servers, fluent in Linux, mySQL etc. As I develop my site - which will be a great showcase for JComments - you will see - I would love to beta test JComments and report back with comments you can use  And I truly appreciate the work and dedication of Smart. Don't listen to the naysayers and flamers - they have no idea. Let me know. |

Not a bad choice at all. I am currently using that comment system which they made me a custom version that embeds into tabs. But I want another tab for different kind of comments which is why I still want jcomments. In the end I may end up with 2-3 comment systems. |

I have been a smart defender, and his tragedy earlier this year was certainly an issue that was more important than any of us waiting for Jcomments. I have respect for Smart that he wants to release a product as close to perfect as possible. I like many, am getting frustrated though. not because of the waiting, that's our problem and this is a free ext. so we will just have to deal with the wait. The reason I am getting frustrated is because, I like everyone here have believed beyond belief every single time we have been told "next week" next month, next monday, next tuesday. We want to believe in Smart, We want to believe it's coming. But due to the consistent let downs, I do have to take a moment to warn new readers of this thread.....do not believe it. do not count on it being ready soon. Just see it as a positive once it is ready. Until then, try not to think about it. I have been checking this thread at least once a day since June of last year. I thought it would be out in July, August, September, October, December, End of December, before 2.5 with 2.5 last week, monday, tuesday, this is silly. Could he just set up an email notification once it's ready?
For American's out there this is like that episode of Community when they held people in a room waiting to participate in the psychology experiment to see how long it would take for each of them snapped. That was the experiment.

Exactly. I was waiting and waiting. I was like "Maybe in this week" but not. Smart I respect you but all these people should know: Don't expect it will be released soon. I was thinking that since June 2011. Believe or not: I bought compojoom component and it just great too  |
