Hi there,

I've just downloaded the ZIP file JComments 2.2.0.2. I've tried installing as i do every other extension, and it comes up with:

      Warning! Failed to move file.
      JFolder::create: Could not create directory
      Unable to create destination

I notice on the installation Guide it says:

Before installing the component, make sure the following directories on the site have write permissions:

/components/
/administrator/components/
/plugins/content/
/plugins/editors-xtd/
/plugins/search/
/plugins/system/
/plugins/user/
/language/en-GB/

But how do i do that??? Is this the problem?

Sorry, i'm not very technical!

Further to the above... i have now managed to find where this info is, and EVERYTHING has 'writable' next to it. So that can't be the problem...

Are you able to install other Joomla extensions?

No... after this i thought i'd try popfeed as another alternative... but got the same message.
Later, i tried uploading a small jpeg via the media manager, but also got upload error message. Never had this before.
So it seems some setting in the back end might have changed?

Or your host 'reset' the ownership permissions, or...

Let's go back to basics... Can you connect to the FTP? Can you upload a file yourself (forget Joomla!)?

Cloudaccess support are looking into it... we did transfer from the test site to our own domain late last week, so perhaps some settings have been reset. Never had upload issues in the past. Hopefully they can work it out for me!
