Is there a way to change the template used for JComments for a single page?  Either via the API in a content item template override or via the {jcomments} plugin?

At this moment where is no way to make this by some standard function but it could implemented via small hack by using system plugin - we can load JComments config and override template's name before it would be used in component. We have to do this via system plugin because we need overrride template not only during displaying comment's list but during all AJAX calls because they could use templates for generation their return's results.

The other way is overriding JComments template via Joomla template - you could copy JComments' template folder (like /default) to /templates/{joomla template}/html/com_jcomments/default and JComments will use it. In this case in JComments settings would be selected one template but for this Joomla template it would be overrided.
