E-mail address as required field only if notify checked

Hi,

I run a heavy traffic entertainment portal and commenting on articles is one of the main features that we offer to the visitors.

In my experience I have noticed that users are lazy and if you want them to comment on articles you need to ask them to provide as little details as possible.

At the moment, the commenting system is cofingured to ask only for user's name and his/her comment.
However, logicaly, if the user wants to get notifications on new comments via e-mail, he/she has to provide his/her valid e-mail address - EXCEPT for those who just want to post a comment and don't bother about the new comments.

So, this is my suggestion:

I think it would be a good idea to include an option in the back-end to choose to make the E-mail field a REQUIRED one, but ONLY if the user has checked the 'notify me for new comments'. In case the user does not check this option, we can choose not to bother him to provide his/her e-mail address.

Ofcourse, there are plenty of other reasons to make the e-mail field required all the time, but I think it would be a good idea for us to be able to choose wheather we want this to apply all the time, or only when the notify me option is checked.

I hope you'll find this feature interesting and will implement it sometime in the future.

If you're set Email as Unrequired but some user sets checkbox to subscribe to notifications and don't fill e-mail field he will recieve an error message.
