Hi
I'm developing an intranet page for old people so they can share their experiences. To comment an article i plan to use this extension. The problem is that if you click on an BB-icon without selecting a text appears (IE at least, what do this old men usually use) a message informing you that a script was blocked, if you allow it please... etc. I tested it with some users and none of then knew what to do, so, is there any solution so this message does not appear or it can be anyhow changed? Somehing like this on this forum would be great.
Thanks a lot for yout support and work

I don't know why you've got such message. When I press BBCode buttons I've got browser's prompt dialog where I could insert text to use inside tag. And no messages about blocking.

Hi Smart
Thank you for your answer. I tested it again in IE8 (in two differerent computers -XP and Vista) and the block message appears. It does not in FF 3.6, Safari or even IE6. It happens even in your demo-site, so it does not seem to be a problem of my local installation.
Hope this helps...

It happens even in your demo-site, so it does not seem to be a problem of my local installation. Seems this is related to your local software settings, may be firewall or some antivirus software.

It's very strange. I've tested it in 3 computers (Vista with Microsoft Firewall+Nod32, and 2 Windows XP with Microsoft Security Essentials in 2 different networks and configurations) and it happens so (with no particular security configuration). Could you try it in yours with IE8? No blocking message? I mean when, without selecting a text, press on the b button for example (in case it's not clear). If I select a word and press on b the BB codes appear correctly.

I'm testing every JComments' build with FF, Opera, Chrome, IE7 and IE8. I don't see any blocks in all used browsers

May be you've some firewall or antivirus software and it blocks JavaScript's dialogs? At this time I can't suggest you any solution because I don't know how to reproduce your issue.

yes, of course, but I tried with different configurations in different PCs (different antivirus and always MS-Firewall, that does not usually affect). I'll keep on investigating and as soon as I discover something I tell you (hopefully soon).
Thanks for your help and work.

hi
I tested again right now it in Vista, with MS Firewall off and nod32 off. The message appears again in IE, but in FF, Safari, etc. does not (and it didn't even with them on). Tomorrow i'll try in other PCs.

yes. After accepting the block-message it does. If I select a word and click on the BB-button it does also work without prompting the blocking message

Does your router (modem) has some Firewall settings activated ? It has to be something outside your computer/s. But it has nothing to do with web servers. You don´t have some Firewall activated in your ISP servers ? (that they offer for free?)

Hi BBC No Fw at all. I tested it at work, at home (in different networks and different configurations) and in my girlfriend's PC with the same result, and if the problem were the firewall it should also block FF or Safari... if nobody else with IE8 has this problem maybe we are testing different... I don' know, sincerely. Almost everybody i know have MS Firewall on and we've never had such a problem... Anyway, thank your for the ideas
