When trying to post a comment it is asking for a name to be entered even though the field is filled. Comments were working for several weeks and just now today it stopped. Not sure what happened to change this.

Could you show me your site? Did you've installed some new extensions last time?

Im having the same problem. I just tried to install jcomments, and when i try to place a comment, it says "please enter your name". I also did a search through your forum to find a solution, but I do not see one posted anywhere. Would like to be able to use this component as it seems like a good one, but...

Joomla 1.5.21 JComments 2.2.0.2 I have the same problem. I uninstalled the component and reinstalled it, it still fails. I uninstalled the component again and also deleted the tables in the database. Then I installed it again and it still fails. It keeps asking for the name. I tried changing the name and using an email address that does not exist on the site but it still fails. Please help us to resolve the problem. My site is http://www.visionlinked.com/ and this is the page where you can enter a comment. http://www.visionlinked.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=8&Itemid=53

I have the same problem! http://www.uruguaynatural.net/@rkheinz It looks like you have solved the problem on your site? I'm able to post a comment in your blog section.

@rkheinz: in my mind the Mootools upgrade plugin causes this issue because I've opened you site and see in JavaScript console an error: "Error: MooTools.upgradeLog is not a function Source: http://visionlinked.com/plugins/system/mtupgrade/mootools.jsLine: 1" Try to disable this plugin and try to post comment.

Same problem here. Yesterday it was working fine, today (I've changed nothing, I've even not been on my website since) the message appears. www.bvdoorn.nljoomla 1.5.22 Edit: disabling the "System - Mootools Upgrade" plugin helps, don't know yet how it effects other parts of the website yet
