How can I display number of comments in Gavick News Pro 4 information tab or bar. Currently it just says Comments without the number of comments on it. Please let me know if this is possible.

Example: Author | Date | Comments (12) | Category

I don't know. I haven't this module and I don't know how it counts comments. In my mind you need to ask about this the module's authors.
