I've been on the hunt trying to figure this out as well.
Surprisingly I've found nothing for Zoo 2

yeah...I'm sorry, I'm lost.
Of course when I said hunt...it means google hunt.  And I searched a long time before just posting a request for help.
I saw your instructions for zoo 1.0 and tried to make that work first too. nope. That's getting me some fatal errors.
thanks for the advice

I'm not sure that I've posted elements for Zoo 2.0 here but you could also search on joomlaforum.ru - our russian forum (you could use Google Translate).

Any chance for an update for ZOO 2.1.1 (http://www.yootheme.com/member-area/downloads/category/zoo-2)?

I tried using Google translate as suggested (http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http://joomlaforum.ru/index.php%3FPHPSESSID%3D7128456970380d12ed4610add0d282eb%26/topic,59777.0.html&rurl=translate.google.com&twu=1&usg=ALkJrhhQjetwM4aCOizj5MYRs65LmRfbQw for those that are lazy) but that solution didn't work.

I'll give it another try myself after some much needed rest, part my confusion is due to changes in folder structure of Zoo and all applications being moved to the media folder ... I think.

The elements display in Zoo but I can't get jComments to show up on the items ... and I removed all the white space in the code to get rid of the errors <-- I assume is Google translate choking on the code

[EDIT]

Went through the process again and still not getting anything to show up Sad

[/EDIT]

Smart, everything works just fine... But there is no link in "teaser" view, (its kind of category view) like: "Comments (12)" or "Add comment" or "View comments" or however... Is there any chance you could implement this ??

I really appriciate your work.

I just would like to bring this thread "alive" again. Maybe it would be possible for someone to describe how to implement JComments with the new ZOO 2.4? Does anybody use it already?

I use this just put it in your joomla /Media/Zoo/Application/Blog-or Page etc/Elements folder then it will show up in your types settings

I can't remember if I used the exact version posted by the author-his name is in the copyright- or if I modified it however it works

Now I got it working with ZOO 2.4  Smiley

The only thing I need to implement is the plugin for the Jomsocial activity stream for Zoo - it only says the someone has written a comment but the article is missing......that means the plugin for zoo and JComments has to be updated, or?

As I mentioned in my thread before I installed an element for Zoo 2.4 so JComments are working. The only issue I have is the buggy activity stream for such a new comment.

Please have a look at my screenshot - maybe someone can help me and of course others:

Can you explain how you got it working in detail?
I am stuck too.
I just threw the folder from ledirlo into here /public_html/media/zoo/elements
...and I can see it listed in items list, but it doesn't show up on front end?
