Unfortunately I have the same problem,
import buton does not functional??
It has some restrictions that related to your site's settings (memory limit and max time execution for scripts). Upcoming version of JComments would be more flexible and will allow to import huge amounts of comments.

If someone needs to help with import - contact me via PM and I'll help you until upcoming version isn't released.

Finally I got it

I installed a Joomla at local machine.

Set PHP:

memory_limit: -1
max_execution_time: 300

It works, but we have no status bar or something like that.
But if you check MySql Administrator, you can see increasing rows at new table.

That's OK

Let see new component. I bet on it

Thanks Smart

This feature would be available in next JComments version.

I am having the same issue.  I have Joomla 1.5.15 installed and Im trying to import my comments from Jom Comments (Version:  3.0.1 Build 561) and trying to import into Jcomments (latest version).

When I click the import button it does nothing.  Is there anything I can do to make this work?

Please Help?

As I wrote below at this moment where are 2 ways to reslove import problem:
1. Increase memory_limit and max_execution_time values in PHP.ini
2. Make dump of your comments system and send it to me by email. I'll convert and send back jos_jcomments table's dump.

Hi,

I am currently using JomComment version 3.0.1 Build 562 and would like to migrate to JComments.
I've been reading this thread and I have a concern that the migration might not go well.
I currently have around 22.000 comments.

Can you please post an update in this thread once you release an updated version of the JComments that will support migrating of large amount of comments?

Thanks.
