Hi!

I have read this instructions to upgrade mi JC 2.1 to 2.2 but I'm not sure enough.

      1.  Make your site backup
   2. Backup of your JComments' template if it was customized
   3. Backup of /components/com_jcomments/images/smiles (if you've changed smiles set)
   4. Uninstall JComments 2.1
   5. Install JComments 2.2
   6. Compare your template Make backup of your JComments' template (if it has any changes) and apply your changes to new template
   7. Restore smiles from the backup

I haven't applied any changes in none file; I only modified the component settings, so wich steps must I follow?

Thank you!!

If you're using Joomla 1.5 you need only install latest version (you needn't uninstall previous). If you're using Joomla 1.0 - uninstall previous and then install JComments 2.2.0.0.

Yes, all your comments, subscriptions and component's settings will be saved! The JComments doesn't remove or clear any component data during uninstall or upgrade.
