Import from phoca guestbook…?

It is a nice idea to use jcomments as guestbook an so, i wondered ift there is a way to import guestbook entries from phoca guestbook for having a quickstart in using jcomments in this way. If not would this be a feature you could imagine for further development?

I've looked at this extension and found that it support more than one guestbook (there are tables #__phocaguestbook_items and #__phocaguestbook_books). So all entries are liked to their book... How do we need import them? At this moment I see only one solution - create uncategorised articles instead books and link entries as comments for these articles. Or may be you've another idea?

Sounds good, so on importing guestbook entries, i will be asked to what article these entries should be linked to, right? Just one question, does it need to be an uncategrized article? Otherway you could make a new Section on importing with one Categorie called "guestbooks" and one article for each imported guestbook?

I think that creating uncategorised article is more simple than creating additional section and category. If the site administrator will need category - it could create it manually and set it to these articles. In my mind import function used one-two times and this isn't too hard to assign categories. In case re-import - it will use already created articles and wouldn't create any additional ones.
