I use this module about 8 months on our demo site: http://demo.joomlatune.com and I've never seen any problems with it.

as soon as i enabled it and went to the front page...everything fell apart.
hey, im not lying, just because you tried it on your site and ok doesnt mean its ok on other joomla sites...
there are many interactions like jevents and joomfish, and something is very wrong.
the database was also changed to my surprise.

They are all latest files 1.5.17 and those straight off your site in the last 24 hrs. There is oner other point worth of note: In the setting for Jcomments lates there is a txt entry box set at com_content(s?) to dispay from. I changed this to com_jevents as it is what I wanted to display.
Maybe that caused it... I dont know.

Could you specify versions? JComments 2.1.0.0 or JComments 2.2? JComments Latest 2.5.4 or earlier? It looks like we've a confict with some extension. Do you've access to Apache's error log? Could you check it?

What JEvents version do you use? You've fresh JComments installation or you've upraded from earlier version?
And one more question: do you've file /components/com_jcomments/plugins/com_jevents.plugin.php ?
p.s. Could you post here screenshot of module's settings?

JEvents 1.5.4 (b1758) May 2010
As far as I know Ive always been using the latest version of JComments ... only used since January 2010. And after trouble I downloaded a copy from your site today. And if I remember correctly I downloaded a copy 2 weeks ago for install.
I use a normall install plugin from JEvents.net jevjcomments.zip
/public_html/plugins/jevents/jevjcomments.php
I dont have a screenshot as I uninstalled it.
As I said, it has an entry box for the sourse of comments? I think default was : com_content As I didnt want any latest joomla article comments, I thought it had to be set to: com_jevents to pick up comments from that.
I only have access logs and php error logs from cpanel. I have no shell access or dorect access to apache, that I know of.

Ok, I understand you. Give me some time to additional tests. I've already worked on more correct integration with JEvent but as I saw where are some problems left. I need some time to rest after JComments 2.2 release and then I'll return to this question. I'll contact you when I'll found solution. Ok?

Ok.... as long as my multi-language site stays up. There was a problem in the cache twice but on emptying it resolved. I dont know if it will come back again (I reinstalled, JEvent, JComments and Joomfish). I dont want to switch off the cache as the site slows down a lot.
Im just hoping its gone away from now and I will not use the JComments latest mod. A pity, but com_jcomments has been good.
