Show JCOMMENTS as a forum?

My idea would be to display the comments JCOMMENTS by way of 'Forum'.

The idea came to me because putting out articles, comments made, which could then be still 'comment', go into 'oblivion' due to the passage of the articles' mother 'to another' page 'of the site and then' discussions 'end.

Instead of viewing the comments I love 'forum' could be those who want to continue to see the 'debate' where is concerned, is still the same.

It could form from last jcomments ... but I think you should then 'edit' to 'component.

Is there anyone who can give me a hand ... ideas, etc. etc.?

I'm not sure that I fully understand you. If you need forum - you can install some forum and use some discussbot to allow commenting articles through forum. But JComments is only commenting extension and I'm not going to make forum from it.

I don't really know if the OP meant what I want, but I have a similar idea for JComments. I know it's not a forum component, it's comments comp, but it could become something much more. I think JComments could be not just Commenting system, but Disscusion system. It's already perfect system for that matter just neeeds some features added.
It would be great if it would have a similar feature to forum. Where people could jsut create their comments (threads) and others would be able to reaply. It would be fast, lightweight, simple ajax forum and all the websites discussion system could work only on JComments.

The website uses the same system both for commenting articles and for discussing in forums.
I would really love to see something like this for JComments and I believe it would skyrocket the popularity of this great componenet even more.

JComments allows to reply to comments and to create threaded discussions. But I'm not going to implement forum-like view with threads list and etc.

But in future version I'm going to add some useful feature - dynamic tree loading - in this mode JComments will load only first level of comments. All child comments (threads) would be loaded on user's demand.

Now, let's supposse that I want to use the threaded discussion feature with only 2 levels deep. Is it possible configure this via coding in JComments 2.2.0.2?
