I downloaded the jcomments avatar 3.1 plugin from the site and i am using the last version of jcomments, joomla 15.14

In the plugin there is not the jomsocial avatar option. How do i do?

I think you just inattentive. JComments Avatar 3.1 has support JomSocial avatars in version for Joomla 1.5. So you need check that you've got Joomla's 1.5 version of plugin.

but i wanna do another question

is there how to show for examples thumbnails of images or emoticons in the jcomments latest module?

Please check module parameters for smiles displaying options. But images thumbnails doesn't supported and such feature doesn't planned in nearest future.
