Hi,
I posted in this forum 2 weeks ago hoping to get some support and thus a reason to donate to what I feel is a promising extension.

The moderator asked for clarification on the version of the extensions I was using. I posted this information and have heard nothing. Below is a copy and paste of my original problem along with the requested information.

Quote
I have recently tried your latest comments with avatars extension. I am using it in Jom Social mode. The problem is none of my user's avatars are showing up from the social network. They don't link to user profiles either. The only avatar visible is my old gravatar.

Mambots and avatars are enabled in the module and component. The plugin is set to Jom Social and gravatars are enabled in usergroups for registered users. I have since disabled gravatar support hoping that this would resolve the issue. It didn't.

I am using Joomla 1.5.15; Jom Social 1.6; php 5.2.10; mysql 5.0.81

The extension versions are jcomments avatars 3.1 for Joomla 1.5. and jcomments module Latest 2.5.4.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

I do love this component despite the issues I'm having. I rated it in the Joomla extensions directory with four stars. I would have given it five if not for the complete absence of support.

This issue was originally posted January 25th. I have complied with the moderator's request, but haven't heard a word as to this issue. Out of desperation, I created another thread, thinking the original had been forgotten. Still nothing. I would have sent an email, but don't see where I can do that. Therefore, I'm posting again on this thread and I will be sending a notification as well. What will it take to get some support around here? If this is a matter of money, then at least, tell me, so I can make a donation and get some support. If you're not going to help me, then,  please...for the love of God, just tell me, so I can move on with my life. Sorry if this message is a bit heated, but it has been weeks since I originally posted on this and I have been ignored. I do understand if the developer is busy elsewhere. I also understand that money can be an issue, which is why I am offering to pay for support. But at the very least, I would expect some response like, "Sorry...we're too busy right now to help you." or "You didn't use the magic word." Something...anything would have been better than the ominous silence I'm getting now.

Thank you.

Well, amazingly, I found JoomlaTune's tutorial on Recent Comments With Avatars today. When I originally posted, I had Gravatars enabled in my Jom Social registered member group only. When I was trying to resolve this issue I disabled gravatars, to see if it was the reason JS avatars with profile links weren't working. Though this wasn't mentioned in the tutorial, I decided to enable Gravatars on ALL user groups as opposed to my JS registered members only to see what would happen. Strangely, this solved the problem. If anyone else is having trouble in this area, I hope that this information helps them.

Thank you.
