All comments author names disappeared

Hi everybody!

I use:
- Joomla 1.5.23
- JComments 2.1.0.0

My site : TravelSteph.com

I updated my site to 1.5.23 few months ago and I didn't have a problem.

But I just discovered that all comment authors names disappeared on the site. In the administration, I already can see IPs comment author but all names disappeared there too.

And unfortunately, I don't have recent backup of the data base...

Do you know if there is a possibility of get-back all names?

You're using too old JComments version. This version is about 2 years old and contains a number of bugs... If you do not have backup you will be not able to restore their names... Sorry... But I always suggest users to have backups and to update their extensions when newer version is available.

Yes, i know, i'm really stupid to not have backup... Indeed, I've one, but old one (February). I'll try to restore old names, if I can restore names from the beginning until February 2011, it's better than nothing... I hope it'll be working!

Hi smart!

I managed to restore the missing names with my backup. For all comments posted after my last backup, I managed to edit and put with the hand the name (I already have all e-mail send when one comment is post).

Then, I updated my component, I've now JComments 2.2.0.2!
